My name is J'onn J'onzz. I am the last son of Mars. My people were slain by another race, and I was catapulted to Earth under strange circumstances. Nearly killed years ago, I was saved by the compassion and goodness of one man. In response, I took on a new identity, that of Hank Henshaw, to lead the D.E.O., the Department of Extranormal Operations, and to protect Earth from enemies from both within and without. IN addition, I watch over the daughters of the man who saved me, Kara and Alex Danvers, who both now work with me at the D.E.O. as Earth's last line of defense. It is a strange world, a strange life, but it is my own.
And when the world is in danger that Hank Henshaw cannot help with, I take on my original form. I become The Martian Manhunter.
